So every pound of coffee you purchase will come with a name, a face and personal account of the person or family that made it all possible. It is coffee that engages both the senses and the soul.
Who We Serve
Home Roasters: These are connoisseurs who understand that the terms “first and second crack” don’t refer to an illegal substance. They are enthusiasts who take coffee roasting matters into their own hands to ensure the best roast possible. We provide select quantities of single origin green coffee beans that offer the quality home roasters expect.
Specialty Coffee Devotees: For those not yet ready to make the leap into home roasting, we offer single origin roasted coffee beans from select regions. Simply choose your preferred roast style when you order and we will handle the rest.
We partner with small co-op communities in Central America who deserve a better rate of return for the quality coffee they produce. Often times great beans come from these small co-ops who don’t have access to any other venue except the open markets where .35 cents per pound can’t support a family.
Bean by Bean pays a fair trade rate giving coffee cultivators a chance to make a truly sustainable living and support continued production of this high-quality product. We also believe that coffee can provide additional opportunities for economic development beyond a higher wage for their beans. That is why we are partnering with Paradise Bound and other organizations to develop innovative programs to improve the economic stability of the co-op communities we partner with.
Some might consider us a social enterprise trying to reform capitalism. We see ourselves as a business doing what we’re supposed to… providing a quality product that rewards the customers, the suppliers and the business. It’s just how business should be done.
